All of the children have continued to work hard since our last blog. Everyone has welcomed the return to school routine and have been very enthusiastic in all aspects of the school day.

We have had amazing fun using strawberry fragranced paint to create strawberries ready for The Very Hungry Caterpillar to munch through! We have also created some beautiful artwork for the display board, using the children’s little hands to make some funny caterpillars.

During a visit to the play park, the children helped to collect some autumn leaves of different sizes and shapes. These leaves were then used to create hedgehogs by sticking them to outlines of hedgehogs. Lots of mess and fun was had using the PVA glue! The children all enjoyed touching the leaves, feeling the different textures and listening to the crunching sounds they made.

We’re looking forward to continuing with The Very Hungry Caterpillar theme, enjoying sensory stories and many other fun activities.
