SEND Multi Activity Xmas CampsPlease see the information below from ERYC SEND team:
ERYC have just launched our SEND Xmas Activity Camp Programme which is again part of the Holiday Activities & Food Scheme through East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
Our Xmas Activity Camps are open to children and young people aged 5 - 16 years of age, with all activities, games and sports fully inclusive and accessible to all.
Sessions will be fun and family focused and we provide adapted sports, inclusive games and activities which are aimed at children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

Thursday 28th December, Beverley Leisure Centre, Flemingate, Beverley HU17 0LT, 9am - 4pm
Friday 29th December, Beverley Leisure Centre, Flemingate, Beverley HU17 0LT, 9am - 4pm
Wednesday 3rd Jan, East Riding Leisure South Cave, Church Street, South Cave, Brough HU15 2EP, 9am - 4pm
Thursday 4th January, Driffield School Sports Hall, Manorfield Road, Driffield YO25 5HR, 9am - 4pm
Places are free for children and young people who are eligible for benefit free school meals who attend an East Riding School.
There are also limited free places for children and young people who receive the freedom activity support payment (children and young people who have an Education, Health and Care Plan), the enhanced resource provision (for children and young people with autism who need extra support in mainstream school) and for those who attend special schools or The Hub (provision to support social, emotional and wellbeing needs). If you are unsure about eligibility then please give me a call or email.
This Xmas we will be holding special SEND focussed events including indoor inflatables and Get Glowing @ Xmas!! Get Glowing is held in a darkened sports hall with the room lit up with special UV lights and the multi-activity equipment glows in the dark. You are then able to play inclusive games and activities in the dark such as ten pin bowling, dodgeball and disability sports such as new age kurling.
Sessions will start at 9:00am and finish at 4:00pm. You are also able to register your child for half a day if this is more suitable. Lunch will be provided each day.
Parents, carers and personal assistants are welcome to attend and can stay throughout the day if required.

Sessions run every Saturday at a venue in Bridlington, Beverley, Anlaby and Hedon.
8-15 year olds: 10am - 1pm
16-25 year olds: 2pm - 5pm.
Sessions cost £5 with the first session FREE.
Sessions are increased over the holiday period.

The 0-25 SEND team are starting a new SEND parent/carer coffee morning in Driffield which the 0-25 SEND team will be attending to provide support and guidance where needed. The aim of the coffee morning is to develop a support network for SEND parents and carers, to provide a safe space to discuss sensitive topics, share positive experiences and gain peer support for challenges which they are experiencing. - 02 Oct 2023
