Outstanding Owls5 October 2020 (by charlottedowson) |
Owls have been learning about some of the Jewish festivals that happen in Autumn. A few weeks ago, we celebrated Rosh Hashanah with some apple and honey and some wishes for the year ahead. Last Friday was the first day of another festival - Sukkoth. Jewish people build shelters to remember when the Jews were cast out in the wilderness after escaping slavery in Egypt. We made our own Sukkah (the shelter) to enjoy snack with a friend. We followed the rules and had three walls, natural materials on the roof and a gap to let God protect us.
