Senior 2 enjoyed a very special day out this week, travelling up to Rosedale Abbey to visit the house we use for our residential life skills trips. At the moment we are not able to stay overnight, but instead made the most of a day trip. The new members of Senior 2 were very excited to explore the house that we hope they will get the opportunity to stay in for a few days sometime in the future.
We all made our own lunch; in the photo you can see Ryan preparing his toasted sandwich (he also loved the tomato soup!). We did all the washing and cleaning up, and recycling, independently. We enjoyed a fun game of bingo and in true Rosedale tradition there was a very large cake to enjoy!
A couple of pupils also made a safety phone call back to school - from the very old-fashioned pay phone in the village. We were very surprised to find out it cost us 60p! It was a great day for the class with lots of 'Learning for Life' skills practiced.
