Senior 2 Rosedale Residential Trip

The seven pupils from Senior 2 who do not access the Residence went to Rosedale Abbey last week for a three-night 'Learning for Life' Residential Trip.  As well as working very hard on lifeskills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care and teamwork, they also enjoyed having fun and spending time away with their friends.  We had a great time at Dalby Forest on Wednesday, and a full day out on Thursday - either a big hike from Hutton-le-Hole to Lastingham, or a trip to Pickering to ride on the steam train.  On an evening, once all the cooking, dishes and tidying up was done, our activities included old-fashioned games such as bingo and dominoes, and on our last night a very spooky night walk!  We all had a great time and everyone achieved their goals, improving their independence and lifeskills.
